About Department

The Department of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences under the college of applied medical sciences at the King Khalid University was established to meet the growing demand of rehabilitation services in the region and is well known for its excellence in education, research and committed communities’ services. The Department of Medical Rehabilitation Sciences was established in 2003. The department has three approved programs; these are Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Audiology and Speech Therapy. Physical Therapy program (Bachelor’s degree) was the first program to start with and later speech language pathology and audiology programs have been incorporated and Master’s program in physical therapy has been proposed at this point. The department has highly qualified faculty members in teaching and research, and equipped with advanced academic and research facilities.
