Clinical Laboratory Science (B.Sc. Program)

On behalf of our faculty, technicians, and students, I would like to welcome you to the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences. The Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences is considered as the first department issued in the College of Applied Medical Sciences at King Khalid University. A royal decree was issued to establish this department in 1422 AH under the name of Clinical Laboratory Sciences. Since, this department is the backbone of all medical services for any health facility, it offers a bachelor’s degree for four academic years in addition to a year of internship during which the students study the four clinical units, which are histopathology, clinical hematology, clinical biochemistry, clinical microbiology and parasitology. The undergraduate program is designed to provide students a solid scientific base and to prepare for the certification of clinical laboratory scientists to provide trained and qualified graduates in our country. This will provide the highest levels and international standards to students under the supervision of many academic professors who have contributed to pushing the wheel of healthy development in our country.
