QS World University Rankings has announced that King Khalid University is ranked 24th in the 2019 Arab Region rankings, making it one of the top 10 universities in the region.
Vice Rector for Academic Development and Quality, Dr. Merzin Al-Shahrani, explained that the progress made by the university in the benchmarked categories of the 2019 QS international indicators for Arab universities confirms that the sustained efforts exerted by the university administration and its employees are admirable. Vice Rector Al-Shahtani extended his profound gratitude to His Excellency King Khalid University Rector, Prof. Falleh R. M. Al-Solamy, and all faculty members and staff for their outstanding efforts in improving academic and administrative performance.
Supervisor of the International Classifications Unit, Dr. Sami Al-Shehri, stressed the importance of optimizing key performance indicators of the university in various international classifications in order to improve performance in accord with the university's vision. This will ensure that we are continually striving towards achieving excellence and continuous competition at the domestic and international levels.
QS evaluates regional universities against stringent criteria in numerous categories. The most prominent metrics of these are academic reputation, employer reputation, the faculty/student ratio, citations per faculty, and the international faculty/student ratio.
