History

The College of Applied Medical Sciences (CAMS) started after King Khalid University was established and became the Eighth Saudi University. CAMS started as part of the Medical College in June, 28, 1999. In November, 3, 2003, CAMS became a separate College

The College of Applied Medical Sciences consists of Six departments that teach Thirteen Bachelor Programs including: Medical Laboratory Program, Diagnostic Radiology Program, Radiotherapy Program, Physical Therapy Program, Occupational Therapy Program, Speech Pathology and Audiology Program, Biomedical Instruments Program, Dental Care Program, Dental Technology Program, Biomedical Information Program, Clinical Nutrition Program,  Health Education Program, and Medical Administration Program. The College also has the Basic Sciences Department that does not give a degree and teach the following subjects: Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Pathology, and Epidemiology
