KKUx Platform Offering  Specific Skill Courses during the Summer

The e-Learning Deanship at King Khalid University is proud to announce that it has launched the KKUx platform. The KKUx platform is an integral part of university-wide initiatives driven by Vision 2030. Open learning is a central component of KKUx which serves to bolster specific objectives of Vision 2030 in regards to providing learning opportunities to acquire the necessary skills and competencies driving the labor market. The main aim of the platform is to contribute effectively in providing essential skills in the form of high global quality electronic content for future jobs.

This initiative is considered the first of its kind at the level of Saudi universities in terms of focusing on 'skills of the future.' It is also based on Vision 2030's theme of A Thriving Economy and its subtheme of Learning for Working. The skills and competencies of our young men and women are an important asset which KKUx aims to improve.

The KKUx platform at King Khalid University will hold the three specific skill courses as follows:

  1. "The Basics of Establishing New Companies" in the period starting from 24/7/2017 to 24/8/2017
  2. "Road to IELTS" in the period starting from 24/7/2017 to 24/8/2017
  3. "Design Thinking" " in the period starting from 1/10/2017 to 1/11/2017

King Khalid University (KKU), represented by the Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship has recently announced the start of admission to applied diploma programs for the first term of the current year academic year 1438-1439 AH. Admission is available only for male and female students, and the applicants are going to obtain, after study, certificates that are accredited and classified by the Civil Service Ministry.

The available diplomas include many disciplines. Some of which will need a year of study such as applied programming and library management. Also available is another discipline that requires two years of study - information system programming.

Registration starts by depositing admission fees into the account of the Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship in Al Bilad Bank. The student has to mention his full name and his ID number when depositing. It should be noted that depositing isn't accepted via the ATM or the Internet. Then, the applicants should visit the headquarters of the Community Service and Continuing Education Deanship in Lassan, former Teachers' College, Building two, where they will fill in registration forms. Applicants have to bring a copy of documents such as the ID and the secondary school certificate.

Start of inside scholarship requests for (non-Saudi) applicants.

The Deanship of Registration and Admissions has announced the beginning of receiving (inside) scholarships requests for non-Saudi applicants through the Deanship's electronic portal. The portal will be accessible on Saturday 25 / 11 / 1438 AH and will continue until 22 / 12 / 1438 AH according to the following conditions:

  1. The applicant must not exceed five years after his / her graduation. 
  2. Admission will depend on the availability of spaces in the colleges and the differentiation between applicants will be according to the following admission criteria:
  • The applicant must not have received a scholarship from other educational institutions in the Kingdom.
  • The age of the applicant should not exceed 25 years for bachelor and diploma programs.
  • The applicant must pass General Aptitude Test (GAT) and Educational Achievement Test (EAT).
  • Female applicants must be accompanied by a male guardian (Mahram) who should have a valid residence permit (Iqama).
  • The applicant must be medically fit.
  • This admission includes only a study seat.

Admission Procedures:

For inside scholarships, the applicant must make an e-request in which he/she uploads a copy of their secondary school certificate and a copy of their residence permit (Iqama). Lastly, they should save the request number.

Applicants can review both the request number and admission through the e-portal of the deanship.

Blended course registration has already started from Sunday February 05, 2017. Interested faculty members can register through the website of e-learning deanship. The deadline for blended course registration is February 18, 2017.

Announcement of Distribution of Graduation Certificates for King Khalid University (KKU) Graduates in the Academic Year 1437/ 1438 AH, 1st semester.

The Graduation certificates and academic records will be distributed as follows:

  • First: Male Graduates:

The graduation Certificates will be distributed at the main campus in Abha, at Admission and Registration Deanship (building D at main service hall). The distributions of Graduation Certificates will start on Monday 2 / 5 / 1438 AH, at 09:00 am.

For students in Muhayel Asir community college and Science and Arts college, as well as those in Tanumah Science and Arts college, they should contact their campuses starting from Thursday 2 / 5 / 1438 AH, at 09:00 am, to get the dates of the distribution of the certificates.

  • Second: Female Graduates:

They should contact their campuses starting from Wednesday 4 / 5 / 1438 AH, to get the dates of distribution of the certificates.

Note that, any graduate of King Khalid University can get an original copy of his/her certificate and academic record through your page in (Academia) website. 

 

Lecture of all course in second semester 1437-1438 will start from February 05, 2017 (Sunday). All the teaching staff are advised to put attendance on system from day one only. 

College of applied medical sciences participate in community health services program organized by king khalid university from February 04 (Saturday) to February 09 (Thursday) 2017.
